Alert 10, 2015 - CPM "Employer of Equality" Alert 10, 2015

CPM announces with great pleasure that it was awarded today with the “Employer of Equality” award. This award is given to the employers who have developed an integrated system for the promotion of gender equality in the workplace. The awards were presented by the Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, during a special ceremony. Our HR Manager, Marios Christoforou accepted the award on behalf of the company.

At the ceremony, Marios had the opportunity to present the policies and procedures we have in place and which prove that we are treating both genders equally.

Some of these policies and procedures are:

  • Our Equal Employment Opportunity policy
  • The Sexual Harassment Code
  • Our performance appraisal system which is the backbone for the discussion regarding promotions, salary increases, training needs as well as the setting up of the Annual Training Plan
  • Various work life balance schemes already implemented such as:
    • Flexible working hours for working mothers,
    • Reduced working hours for working mothers
    • First-day-of-school leave available to both parents
    • Our internal Communication policy
    • Comments, Suggestions and Complaints Scheme

Through the implementation of the above policies and procedures, the company has proved that it offers its human capital the opportunity to work at a workplace where everyone can perform their tasks and develop themselves, both professionally and personally, without facing any discrimination because of their gender.
