Lawyer General Description:

Has the responsibility to advise the team on all legal matters, drafts, and reviews legal documents, administers the companies under liquidation procedure and performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advising the group on a day-to-day basis on a variety of legal matters including but not limited to corporate and commercial law (i.e. partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc), labour law
  • Give accurate and timely legal advice to executives for a variety of business topics
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents including but not limited to resolutions, minutes, Power of Attorneys, contracts, and other documents.
  • Drafting legal memos on corporate and contract law issues.
  • Handling the administration of companies under liquidation procedure and ensuring proper and timely submission of relevant documentation
  • Incorporation of companies in Cyprus and other jurisdictions.
  • Arranging for execution, certification, and legalization of documents.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of corporate files and registers.
  • Communication with local authorities, inter alia Registrar of Companies, VAT and Tax office.
  • Communication with agents in various jurisdictions.

Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Law (LLB).
  • Master’s degree in Law (LLM) would be considered an advantage.
  • Insolvency practitioner certificate would be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Cyprus legislation.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Greek and English languages, written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy and good command of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.)
